This project was born out of an invitation to collaborate: the artists were invited to develop a shared work, whether created by four hands or by imagining a shared scenography. The idea was to work in pairs, selected by the curators either based on similarities or contrasts in artistic practices. Some artists already knew each other, while others met through the project. The challenge was to build a dialogue, through proximity or contrast, across the space.

I was matched with Laeti Gardies, whom I met through the project. Our practices and our work are different, but they converge around the line of drawing: repetition, gesture, accumulation. A shared focus on organic forms and the persistence of the line.

The space assigned to us functions like an arch: two walls facing each other, connected by the ceiling. We approached this space as a continuous, expanded field of drawings.The drawings extended onto the walls and spread across the ceiling, two distinct ways of working with the line, between drawing and mural painting.
